Soccer is at its bloodthirsty finest when players get knocked out, and the play just keeps going. When such a calamity happens in basketball, it's usually kinda horrific. In football and baseball, the downed player typically receives care within seconds. (It's all relative in hockey.) In soccer, though, it's like this: You, sir, are like France. Well, the best thing about this is that I learned a new rule: The Dutch player was not offside because there was an Italian player that had been knocked off the pitch. That player is considered to be standing at the end line, other wise defenders would just run off the field during an attack in order to put the other team in offside.
