If I were relaxing in a fine, leather-covered chaise lounge, surrounded by academics, arrivistes, sycophants, contrarians and bad motherfuckers, and one of them deigned to play word association games, I have no doubt that if one of the words or phrases were "Bobby Digital," I would immediately stand and holler in a stentorian and streetly voice, "PERPENDICULAR TO THE SQUAY-ER." Now, this is a forced association, if only because RZA raps that particular phrase during the Wu-Tang Clan song "Triumph," and not on a song assigned to his Bobby Digital alter-go. Yet this is the immediate caption that my brain assigns to the persona. Make of it what you will.

"DIGI SNAX" OUT 7/1/08 ON KOCH RECORDS / TOUR
RZA is celebrating the 10 year anniversary of his infamous Bobby Digital persona this year. "Digi Snax" marks the third release for the Bobby Digital character on RZA's quest for "Sex & Sci-fi." The master producer, emcee, composer, and actor is also scheduled for a full Bobby Digital tour surrounding the release - the first in many years. Accompanying him on stage will will be west-coast Soul/Funk live band Stone Mecca, who is also a major contributor to the album.
