A BRUTAL FAUX PAS
In my haste to connect the metal underground with the non-metal public -- via the Valnøtt -- I took the unfortunate shortcut of using "death" as the adjective, and not "black." Chris from Neckdeep gently corrected me.
I apologize for any misunderstanding. My intentions were pure. (If anything, I'm always concerned that people will confuse "black metal" with "metal made by black people.")
However, I should know better than to have pure intentions during any discussion involving black metal. May an unblessed firebeast char my consciousness.
Anyway, to make it up to everybody, I offer my favorite Atom And His Package song. This one was hott in '97:
Me And My Black Metal Friends (mp3)
ALSO: Neckdeep's 2006 black metal feast. (And might I add, you will not find a black metal fan who loves Morrissey more than Chris.)
AND IN CASE YOU FORGOT: Pop Cesspool already has crafted the greatest metal bio ever.
