James Kunstler is one of my fave nonfictionists, especially when he's riffin' on the perils of McMansion culture. (Start with "The Geography of Nowhere.") Online, he's far more cranky, preachy and vitriolic. Case in point: the now-powered-by-Typepad Clusterfuck Nation. He was particularly loud about the Iraq War, but the latest Capitol Hill tizzy over gas prices is the quintessential topic to get him goin' off. Somebody should put this guy in front of a microphone at a subcommittee hearing. If anything, it would be fun.
