I've never seen the movie "Krull." I remember playing the video game, I think, maybe. That weapon was cool, yo. Apparently it was known as "The Glaive," and if you Google "glaive" and look at the "Images" tab, there are photos of various lame-o dragon-fantasy and pseudo-ninja accoutrements. (The word "glaive" means "broadsword," but the creators of Krull took the Ron Popeil approach to weapons design.) This guy apparently had something to do with making The Glaive, as well as Bobo the Owl from "Clash Of The Titans" and a bunch of other retro-futuro props for movies. (Click on "Sci-Fi" for that shot of The Glaive.) Side note: I still haven't seen the infamous knife-collector guys on that cable shopping network.
